Information Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York or Palm Beach, Florida, United States

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and other compensation.

What you will do

• Perform information security assessments and analyze identified risks.
• Design, implement, and deploy security solutions for vulnerability management, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, SIEM, network flow monitoring, and user behavior analytics.
• Coordinate with global IT teams to mitigate security risks.
• Support application security through static analysis, dependency management, and secure CI/CD practices.
• Monitor emerging threats affecting financial services and contribute to security automation and tool development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of experience in information security engineering; IT experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of threat and vulnerability management and mitigation.
• Experience with Windows and Unix operating system fundamentals.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash for security automation.
• Experience with security event and incident management, along with strong prioritization, communication, and writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryptocurrency.
