Security Operations Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in New York City, United States; candidates located in or open to relocating to New York City are encouraged to apply.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year plus equity.

hirify.global is a Series B fintech company building a platform that automates the management of private investments for investors, advisors, banks, families, and financial institutions.

What you will do

• Own vulnerability scanning, triage, remediation tracking, and coordination with engineering teams on patch deployment.
• Maintain the SIEM/SOC stack and build and refine detections for DLP, indicators of compromise, and cloud vulnerabilities.
• Improve security logging and audit processes supporting SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Perform infrastructure security checks and assist with security investigations.
• Manage vendor security due diligence, improve IT asset management, and contribute to cross-functional security projects.

Requirements

• Experience working in a small, fast-paced security team.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, CVSS, patch lifecycles, SIEM, log analysis, and alerting.
• Understanding of OWASP, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and SOC 2 security fundamentals.
• Experience securing AWS infrastructure, including IAM, VPC, and Secrets Manager.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or Go, plus basic code-reading ability.
• Ability to work on-site daily in the New York City office.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure as Code security experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipeline security, or automated scanning tools such as Snyk.
• Experience with threat modeling or security design reviews.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or AWS Certified Security.
