Security Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Evaluate, implement, and continuously improve cybersecurity controls aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation with engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Manage endpoint security, MDM, endpoint protection, software deployment, operating system imaging, patching, and security configurations.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM, EDR, and centralized logging platforms.
• Document investigations and response actions, support third-party security assessments and customer security questionnaires, and contribute to security awareness initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members in security operations, endpoint security, and incident response.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical role.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response in enterprise environments.
• Practical experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management tools, security baselines, and system hardening.
• Ability to develop or maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CyberOps, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CEH, or similar.
