Information Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid workplace with regular office presence.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Build, operate, and own infrastructure and automation for detecting, containing, and eradicating security threats.
• Develop alerting and detection strategies for malicious or anomalous behavior.
• Create defensive techniques to counter evolving adversary tactics.
• Analyze network, host, memory, and other artifacts across multiple operating systems and applications.
• Investigate enterprise-wide operations to identify sophisticated and previously undetected threats.
• Partner with the Information Security team to improve the company’s network defense posture.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of security experience with a major platform such as AWS, Azure, Windows, OS X, or Linux.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or a similar programming language.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common protocols.
• Deep experience in incident response or detection engineering.

Nice to have

• Broad exposure to security disciplines, especially forensics or threat intelligence.
• Substantive contributions to the information security community through conference talks, blog posts, or public tool development.
