Network Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Francisco or Seattle, United States; hybrid work with at least 2 days per week in the office and occasional offsites

Annual base salary: $180,000–$220,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure across the AI platform.
• Architect security controls using firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, SD-WAN, and encryption.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests while strengthening security policies and access controls.
• Monitor threats with SIEM tools and collaborate with SOC and engineering teams on incident response and breach investigations.
• Maintain security documentation and support compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and optimize automation for threat detection and response.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in firewalls such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet; IDS/IPS, VPNs, SD-WAN, cloud security, and encryption.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar, vulnerability scanners such as Nessus or Qualys, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proactive approach to learning about emerging security technologies and threats.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC certifications including GSEC, GCIH, or GPEN.
