TL;DR
Occupational Health Nurse (Manufacturing): Developing and administering employee health, wellbeing, preventative health, medical surveillance, and injury and illness services with an accent on case management, clinical care, and workplace safety. Focus on coordinating return-to-work processes, conducting health assessments and emergency care, leading wellness programs, and maintaining regulatory compliance and confidential medical records.

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan; onsite five days per week

Annual base salary: $56,300.00–$101,394.99

What you will do

  • Develop and administer employee health, wellbeing, and preventative health services.
  • Coordinate illness and injury case management, physician referrals, documentation, and return-to-work processes.
  • Conduct fitness assessments, drug and alcohol screenings, periodic testing, injury and illness assessments, direct care, emergency care, and vaccination programs.
  • Lead wellness initiatives, screenings, health fairs, and wellness sessions.
  • Conduct regulatory training and coordinate First Responder training.
  • Consult with employees and managers, maintain medical records and facilities, and support workplace safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current state Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in occupational health, case management, and clinical nursing required.
  • First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and AED certifications required.
  • PPE training and strong organizational, documentation, communication, and confidentiality skills.
  • Ability to work onsite five days per week, with a flexible schedule and minimal travel.

  • COHN certification.
  • CAOHC certification if required by the facility.
