Manufacturing Inspection Technician

What you will do

• Conduct in-process, mid-process, first article, and final inspections of wiring harnesses, electrical boxes, enclosures, and subsystem assemblies.
• Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical testing using multimeters, Hi-Pot testers, insulation resistance meters, calipers, micrometers, and plug gages.
• Review engineering drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions to validate assembly accuracy.
• Document inspection results and non-conformances in real time, support root cause analysis, and maintain QA records in ERP systems.
• Collaborate with assembly technicians, quality engineers, and design teams to resolve production issues and improve inspection criteria.
• Monitor labeling, marking, dimensional tolerances, ISO 9001 processes, internal audits, and supplier quality interactions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands-on inspection experience in electrical manufacturing or electro-mechanical production.
• Proficiency with hand tools and electrical test equipment, including multimeters, Hi-Pot testers, and insulation resistance meters.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics and working with IPC standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for reporting and issue escalation.
• The position may require eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, automotive, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with inspections in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or the ability to attain it.
