Deputy Director Technology Transactions (Semiconductor)

Location: Remote in the United States, Texas

Salary: $161,000–$269,000 per year

What you will do

• Review and revise IP outlicense agreements and related schedules.
• Negotiate usage rights, warranty, indemnity, support, and other legal and IP terms.
• Draft, review, and revise procurement, development, and license agreements for process technology, custom silicon, EDA tools, design IP, processor cores, and software.
• Apply technical, intellectual property, legal, and business judgment to drive accurate and compliant agreements.
• Support licensing activities across hirify.global’ product lines, including processor IP businesses.
• Follow environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited U.S. institution, or an LLM from a U.S. institution with a non-U.S. degree equivalent to a JD.
• At least 7 years of senior-level legal experience, including at least 5 years supporting, drafting, and negotiating technology transactions in the fabless semiconductor sector.
• College-level understanding of integrated circuits, applications, and design methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor terminology, the semiconductor ecosystem, fabless business models, and intellectual property concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with standard application suites.

Nice to have

• Experience with foundry services businesses and their relationships with fabless companies.
• Technical degree related to semiconductor manufacturing or design.
