I.P. - Technology Transactions (Life Sciences) Associate

Location: Silicon Valley, United States; hybrid

Salary: $235,000–$310,000 per year, plus a discretionary performance bonus for eligible employees.

What you will do

• Advise biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on licensing, collaboration, and commercial partnering transactions.
• Structure and negotiate standalone commercial transactions involving patents, therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, and digital health technologies.
• Support the advancement of life sciences technologies through clinical trials and FDA approval.
• Work closely with founders developing cutting-edge technologies.
• Collaborate with corporate and life sciences patent prosecution practices on client matters.

Requirements

• Two to four years of experience in licensing, collaboration, and commercial partnering transactions.
• Substantial law firm experience representing biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
• Must be barred in the state of the office applied to, or eligible to sit for or waive into the next bar exam.
• Superior academic credentials and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-native or AI-driven biotechnology companies.
• Experience integrating artificial intelligence or machine learning into drug discovery, diagnostics, or life sciences R&D.
• Exposure to both life sciences and broader technology transactions.
