Location: Onsite at San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters, San Jose, California, United States. Schedule: Wednesday–Friday and alternating Saturday, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Salary: $84,200–$112,300 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead a department of 30–45 employees producing wafers through thin-film, photolithography, and wet-etch processes.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, maintenance, process engineering, and equipment engineering teams to improve downtime, process efficiency, throughput, and quality.
  • Provide direction to shift operators and leads while maintaining production priorities and staffing coverage.
  • Monitor tool performance and drive resolution of tooling, process, output, and quality issues.
  • Plan training, coach employees, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues consistently.
  • Promote Lean manufacturing practices and lead Kaizen events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science preferred in engineering, industrial engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, data analysis or statistics, chemistry, or physics.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes, including deposition, ion mill, reactive ion etch, electroplating, photolithography, metrology, and sputter processes.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control systems, MESA or similar shop-floor control systems, and manufacturing logistics.
  • Experience applying process data to decision-making and presenting process data.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and DMAIC processes.
  • Leadership, problem-solving, communication, SQL or similar query languages, and experience with Excel, VBA, PowerPoint, and project management applications.
