Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Weekend First Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site. Weekend first shift: Friday through Sunday, 6:00 am–6:00 pm.

Salary: $121,000–$203,000 per year, including a 10% shift differential, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, cost, and product quality.
• Own magnet manufacturing for the assigned shift and make real-time operational decisions within established guardrails.
• Develop process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with design engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure product manufacturability.
• Lead the design and procurement of production tools, fixtures, and equipment; troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, time and motion studies, automation, and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, and manufacturing ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to balance autonomy and escalation.
• Ability to work on-site in Devens, work the Friday–Sunday shift, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and operate safely around heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics.
