Preconstruction Manager (Data Centers)

What you will do

• Lead the preconstruction phase of data center and mission-critical facility projects.
• Develop detailed budgets and cost estimates from conceptual designs, schematic drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct value engineering, constructability reviews, and project document analysis to identify risks and savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders on estimates and proposals.
• Present cost estimates and value engineering recommendations and support project teams throughout preconstruction.
• Help implement preconstruction best practices, procedures, and tools while tracking industry trends and market conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of construction estimating experience, preferably focused on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency with construction cost estimating software such as RSMeans, Timberline, or WinEst, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
