TL;DR
Software Engineer (Data Processing and Management) (Java/Spring Boot): Designing and developing scalable applications, APIs, and data pipelines for data processing, management, and AI-ready production data with an accent on backend engineering, testing, and system resiliency. Focus on building microservices, optimizing data ingestion and storage, and solving complex reliability and security challenges.
Location: Singapore, Singapore; on-site. Only Singapore Citizens will be considered.

What you will do
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain applications and RESTful APIs for data processing and management.
- Develop data pipelines for efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Write high-quality code with unit, functional, and end-to-end tests.
- Improve system resiliency by detecting, debugging, tracking, and resolving issues.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing content.
- Prepare production-ready data for AI applications and evaluate relevant technologies.
Requirements
- Degree or background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on Java experience; relevant project or internship experience may be considered for candidates without prior work experience.
- Backend development experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and database technologies such as MSSQL or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD processes.
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
