What you will do

• Design and build production-grade services using Java and Spring Boot with a focus on high availability and low latency.
• Implement RESTful, gRPC, and event-driven APIs for payment initiation, reconciliation, and settlement flows.
• Develop core components for payout, card processing, and FX systems, including AI-agent treasury orchestration.
• Contribute React-based frontend components for operational dashboards and merchant-facing interfaces.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, container configurations, and observability frameworks from day one.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver well-tested, secure, and scalable financial features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with deep expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Demonstrable experience building high-throughput, distributed payment or financial services systems.
• Strong understanding of payment architecture including idempotency, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Experience with relational databases, messaging systems like Kafka, and container-based deployment (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of PCI DSS compliant system design and secure coding practices.
• Must be based in Singapore or have the right to work there.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with real-time FX data sources like Bloomberg feeds.
• Background in financial messaging standards such as ISO 20022 or SWIFT.
• Practical experience building or integrating LLM-powered features and agentic workflows.
• Prior work in a regulated payment processor or fintech environment.
