Licensed Veterinary Technician

What you will do

• Triage patients and recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assess patients, record vital signs, monitor changes, and provide compassionate nursing care.
• Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, radiography, treatments, and sample preparation.
• Collect blood, place catheters, run in-house laboratory tests, and prepare samples for outside reference laboratories.
• Prepare and administer medications as instructed by the veterinarian.
• Help maintain a hospitable and organized practice environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in a general practice setting.
• Availability to work at least one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday.
• Comfort with computers and online tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills with clients and a collaborative, proactive approach.
• Passion for working with pets in a fast-paced environment.
