What you will do

• Provide proficient veterinary medical care and support the practice team.
• Deliver patient care including blood transfusions, oxygen cage management, cardiac monitoring, dentistry, wound care, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring for unstable or high-risk patients.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians and colleagues in real time across in-practice, referral, and home-care settings.
• Train and mentor team members, support client communication, and handle client complaints.
• Manage inventory needs, pharmacy responsibilities, and controlled-substance logs.
• Use PIMS technology as an administrative super-user and follow practice SOPs and standards of care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure preferred.
• Ability to complete the Veterinary Technician III skills checklist.
• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience in practice preferred.
• Strong client connection, compassion, communication, observational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds with an optional team lift.
