What you will do

• Support the veterinary practice team and deliver proficient medical care within the scope of the role.
• Provide patient care including blood transfusions, oxygen cage care, cardiac monitoring, dentistry, wound care, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians and support positive client and team experiences.
• Use integrated practice technology as a PIMS administrative super-user and help colleagues use it effectively.
• Manage controlled-substance logs, support inventory planning, and maintain clean workspaces.
• Complete required compliance and self-development training; weekend work and some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure preferred.
• Ability to complete the Veterinary Technician III skills checklist.
• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience in a practice preferred.
• Strong client communication, compassion, observation, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds, with team lifting for heavier loads.
