Location: Onsite veterinary practices in Louisville, Colorado Springs, Highlands Ranch, and Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Salary: $15.62–$23.55 per hour

What you will do

• Support veterinarians and the practice team in delivering veterinary care and a positive client experience.
• Operate and assist with medical equipment, including laboratory, radiology, anesthesia, and dental equipment.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians and team members across in-practice, referral, and home-care settings.
• Use the PIMS system, support colleagues with its use, and follow practice SOPs and standards of care.
• Review invoices, process client payments, manage pharmacy responsibilities and controlled-substance logs, and communicate inventory needs.
• Clean workspaces after patient and laboratory-sample interactions and complete required training.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a practice.
• Experience in veterinary medicine and the ability to complete the Veterinary Assistant skills checklist.
• Strong communication, observation, analytical, empathy, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle animal bodily fluids and tissues.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds, with team assistance for heavier loads.
