Veterinary Technician II

Location: Onsite veterinary practices in Boynton Beach, Plantation, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Coral Springs, Coral Gables, Parrish, or Lutz, Florida

What you will do

• Provide proficient veterinary medical care and support the practice team.
• Deliver patient care including blood transfusions, oxygen cage care, cardiac monitoring, dentistry, wound care, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring for unstable or high-risk patients.
• Train and mentor team members, support client communication, and handle client complaints.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians in real time across in-practice, referral, and home-care settings.
• Act as a PIMS administrative super-user and help colleagues use integrated practice technology.
• Manage inventory needs, pharmacy responsibilities, controlled substance logs, workspace cleaning, and required compliance training.

Requirements

• Ability to complete the Veterinary Technician III skills checklist.
• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience in practice is preferred.
• Strong client connection skills and compassion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, observational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds, with heavier lifting using a team lift.
