Claim Team Manager - Property Field Inspection (Property Field Inspection)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa; candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the assigned Iowa territory. Remote-field work includes working from home, using a mobile office/vehicle, and attending in-person appointments; travel outside the assigned territory may be required.

Potential starting salary: $107,000–$142,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 24% of base salary.

What you will do

• Lead and develop assigned claims personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and salary activities.
• Review and control claims operations, including investigations, claim payments, and adjustment expense payments.
• Coordinate and implement company programs, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and legal requirements.
• Promote employee development within an inclusive environment and maintain a customer-focused claims operation.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership behaviors, including customer focus, candid assessment of challenges, and the ability to inspire people toward common goals.
• Physical agility for frequent lifting, carrying, ladder climbing, navigating roofs at various heights for residential and commercial inspections, and crawling in tight spaces.
• Ability to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training if required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing examinations, Motor Vehicle Record checks, and background checks required by applicable states.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Claims operations or call center experience.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Experience with Xactimate and XactContents.
