Claims Supervisor (Property & Casualty Auto Insurance)

Location: Fully remote within the available U.S. states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Salary: $82,000–$100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Supervise Claims Representatives and Claims Support Specialists.
• Review automobile claim investigations and file handling, providing recommendations and direction.
• Ensure claims are adjudicated according to company standards, industry best practices, applicable regulations, and carrier requirements.
• Determine, recommend, and grant appropriate settlement and payment authority while monitoring work quality and accuracy.
• Coach, develop, evaluate, recognize, and document employee performance; coordinate personnel actions with Human Resources when appropriate.
• Support claims operations, scheduling, workflow maintenance, process improvements, issue escalation, and compliance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience.
• Experience handling automobile property damage, injury, and subrogation claims.
• Strong understanding of insurance industry practices, standards, regulations, and terminology.
• Ability to review claims and provide clear handling recommendations and direction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
