Engineer II - Product (FPGA) (Semiconductor Product Engineering): Supporting current and next-generation FPGA/SoC products through failure analysis, yield enhancement, product characterization, qualification, and manufacturing issue resolution with an accent on electrical testing, on-chip component validation, and silicon debug. Focus on analyzing yield and electrical test data, investigating root causes, and collaborating with design, technology development, customer support, product/test engineering, and quality teams.

What you will do

  • Support current and next-generation FPGA and SoC products within the FPGA Business Unit operations engineering team.
  • Perform failure analysis, yield analysis, and yield enhancement activities.
  • Characterize and evaluate products, including microprocessors, SERDES, DDR, eNVM, SRAM, charge pumps, PLLs, and analog I/O.
  • Complete pre- and post-silicon debug and verification.
  • Support manufacturing issues, product qualification, electrical parameter assessment, and silicon reliability experiments.
  • Collaborate with design, technology development, customer support, product/test engineering, and quality teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2.5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of digital circuits, CMOS logic, VLSI design, and semiconductor physics.
  • Required design experience with Verilog or VHDL and EDA tools such as Synopsys or Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Experience analyzing yield and electrical test data.
  • Laboratory experience using electrical test and debug equipment, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FPGA or CPLD devices.
  • Experience with failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and product qualification processes.
