EHS Head, Nansha

hirify.global is a global life sciences company operating an important pharmaceutical manufacturing site in China.

What you will do

• Lead the Nansha site's EHS strategy, programs, objectives, management system, and governance framework.
• Ensure compliance with Chinese EHS laws, regulations, permits, government requirements, and global EHS standards.
• Lead EHS audits, regulatory inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process safety programs.
• Provide EHS leadership for construction, expansion, facility modification, permitting, and regulatory approval projects.
• Manage contractor safety and site security while maintaining audit readiness and compliance performance.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing EHS team and collaborate with global EHS, site leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in environmental engineering, safety engineering, chemical engineering, occupational health, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industries.
• At least 8 years of experience in EHS leadership, manufacturing management, or operational leadership roles.
• Experience leading teams of more than 10 employees and managing managers or senior professionals.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese EHS laws, regulations, incident investigation, root cause analysis, risk management, audits, inspections, and compliance programs.
• Fluent Mandarin and business English proficiency are required.

• Experience in complex manufacturing or regulated production environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing operations, capital projects, or complex operational environments.
• ESG and sustainability project experience.
