Process Safety And Risk Management (PS&RM) Lead Engineer (Advanced Electronics)

Location: Taiwan – Jhunan (Hsinchu II), Dayuan, or Hsinchu I, with routine visits to all Taiwan sites; approximately 10–20% travel within APAC and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Lead process safety and risk management across Taiwan manufacturing sites and capital projects.
• Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses, Layers of Protection Analyses, and Dust Hazard Analyses, while mentoring site-based facilitators.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks involving toxic, flammable, explosive, reactive, and combustible dust hazards.
• Guide sites in applying Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices and partner with engineering, EHS, and site leadership.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, process safety assessments, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and enterprise trend analysis.
• Contribute to corporate process safety training for engineering and operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in process safety and risk management within high-hazard manufacturing or chemical processing environments.
• Demonstrated experience with HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, and DHA methodologies.
• Experience in process safety auditing, compliance assurance, management system implementation, and international process safety standards.
• Ability to lead across functions, influence senior leadership, facilitate discussions, and collaborate effectively.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese is required; willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally is also required.

Nice to have

• Certified Process Safety Professional certification, such as CCPS or equivalent.
• Experience in project engineering and capital project risk reviews.
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence in global, multicultural environments.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities.
