Strategy Director

Location: United States; remote

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of UX strategists through coaching and feedback.
• Provide strategic guidance across active client projects while supporting day-to-day delivery.
• Oversee staffing and resource allocation across UX-focused projects.
• Lead strategic work for UX and digital experience proposals, workshops, and new business pitches.
• Partner with design, technology, production, and executive teams on project planning, scope changes, and account growth.
• Improve strategy practices, team operations, and shared capabilities across the studio.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UX, experience, digital, or brand strategy within an agency or consultancy.
• Experience translating brand strategy into websites, digital platforms, or customer experiences.
• Demonstrated success managing and developing strategists or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience combining people leadership with hands-on strategic work across multiple projects.
• Strong staffing, resourcing, communication, and operational skills.
• Confidence building relationships with senior client stakeholders and collaborating across disciplines.
