Product Technology M&A; Director (SaaS)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Chicago, Arlington, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Edison, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, or Southfield, United States. Hybrid work model with in-person attendance required at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site. Travel of up to 50% may be required.

Base salary: $239,160–$309,412 per year, depending on skills, experience, business needs, geographic location, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Lead buy-side and sell-side Product Technology Diligence engagements for private equity and strategic clients.
• Assess product architecture, scalability, security, extensibility, technical debt, modernization needs, and roadmap credibility.
• Evaluate SaaS business performance, AI and data platform maturity, DevOps, SDLC maturity, engineering productivity, and hosting costs.
• Connect technology findings with ARR growth, NRR expansion, pricing power, customer acquisition efficiency, EBITDA impact, and valuation narratives.
• Lead management interviews with CTOs, CPOs, and engineering leaders and present findings to deal teams and portfolio leadership.
• Develop executive-ready reports, support proposals and commercial structuring, and mentor Managers and Senior Consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of experience in product architecture leadership, product technology diligence, CTO advisory, or software platform strategy.
• Experience in private-equity-backed or high-growth SaaS environments.
• Deep understanding of SaaS business models, cloud-native architectures, data platforms, and DevOps.
• Ability to connect technology architecture and roadmap assessments with commercial and financial outcomes, including valuation impact.
• Executive presence, strong commercial acumen, structured and hypothesis-driven thinking, and ability to operate within deal timelines.
