Head of Compliance (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, US-based; preference for Eastern Time or the ability to work ET hours. Periodic travel to practice sites or Chamber offices may be required.

What you will do

• Design, operationalize, and lead regulatory, corporate, clinical, government programs, privacy, and IT/security compliance.
• Own risk assessments, compliance governance, leadership reporting, escalation processes, and action tracking.
• Build compliance for Medicare, Medicaid, ACOs, and related CMS requirements, including Medicare marketing and member communications.
• Oversee HIPAA and privacy operations, including policies, incident response, investigations, training, and data protection coordination.
• Embed compliance into clinical programs, care management, product workflows, AI-enabled tools, payer partnerships, and market expansion.
• Establish internal audit, policy review, investigations, root-cause analysis, remediation tracking, and complaint resolution processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of healthcare compliance leadership experience in value-based care, managed care, population health, or a payer-facing care model.
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA/privacy, corporate practice of medicine, fee splitting, licensing, credentialing, AKS/FWA, the False Claims Act, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
• Hands-on experience with government programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, ACOs, and CMS requirements.
• Experience building compliance programs with policies, training, monitoring, audits, and risk-based controls.
• Ability to operate in an early-stage, multi-state environment and build processes from scratch.
• Strong judgment and cross-functional leadership across legal, clinical, security, and business teams.
