Electrical & Controls Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Devault, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite in production, warehouse, and office environments. The role requires flexible shifts, overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays as needed.

Salary: USD $33.00–$40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience; bonus and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Design, install, commission, validate, and start up new electrical and controls equipment, including panel wiring and I/O checkout.
• Modify PLC ladder logic and HMIs, implement minor automation enhancements, and improve system reliability, safety, and performance.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, power distribution systems, control panels, VFDs, motor controls, instrumentation, and networked industrial devices.
• Perform root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment reliability improvements, and emergency breakdown support.
• Configure and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentation; support Cognex vision systems and robotic case packing and palletizing.
• Coordinate capital projects and contractors, maintain controls documentation and backups, and train maintenance personnel and operators.

Requirements

• Electrical trade certification from an accredited trade school or college, or seven years of experience in an automation or controls engineering role.
• At least three years of experience wiring, troubleshooting, and developing controls systems.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic modification skills, with experience using FactoryTalk View ME, Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, and RSLinx.
• Working knowledge of Ethernet/IP and proficiency with electrical test equipment, including digital multimeters, insulation testers, and thermocouple calibrators.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Must be authorized to work for a U.S. employer; E-Verify is used, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of Ignition, SQL, Python, or Visual Basic.
