Commercial Analyst (Sales)

Location: Melbourne VIC, Australia; hybrid working. Successful candidates must have full-time Australian working rights on an ongoing basis.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain sales performance dashboards and reporting suites.
• Prepare recurring performance packs and ad hoc analysis for sales and leadership reporting.
• Support monthly and quarterly sales forecasting, target setting, and pipeline reviews.
• Track and reconcile sales incentive and commission schemes.
• Identify data and process inefficiencies, improve reporting workflows, and maintain CRM data integrity.
• Provide analysis for pricing, deal structuring, margin decisions, and cross-functional commercial planning.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in sales analysis, commercial analysis, sales operations, or business analysis.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience extracting, validating, and analyzing sales data from CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong commercial acumen, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• SQL or other data-querying skills, high attention to detail, and a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field, plus experience supporting sales incentive or commission administration.
