Sourcing Specialist II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Base salary: $72,000–$90,000 USD per year for California.

What you will do

• Source materials by evaluating supplier capability, pricing, delivery requirements, and performance.
• Place and manage purchase orders to support engineering R&D and production of launch vehicles and satellite systems.
• Own business relationships with assigned suppliers and manage the RFQ process.
• Negotiate supplier terms to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate procurement requirements with Engineering and provide order status to R&D and material planning teams.
• Maintain accurate purchase-order data in the ERP system.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or 6+ years of total work experience.
• Experience sourcing, onboarding, and negotiating pricing with suppliers.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes.
• For work in US offices, candidates must meet US ITAR eligibility requirements, including US citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
• Ability to work onsite and travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with MRP systems.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapid-growth environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and US export controls.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
