RF – System Designer

What you will do

• Design and architect custom RF delivery systems, including cables and transmission lines.
• Define specifications, trade-offs, and requirements for key RF system building blocks.
• Lead RF design, simulation, integration, verification, and validation testing.
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions and contribute to feasibility discussions.
• Collaborate with electronics, ASIC/chip design, mechanical, software, and physics specialists.
• Support project planning, scheduling, risk management, and progress reporting.

Requirements

• Around 5–10 years of practical experience in RF system and/or circuit design.
• Extensive RF front-end and back-end system design experience from VHF to X-band.
• Hands-on experience designing complex RF systems from concept to delivery.
• Proficiency with FEA and simulation tools, especially Ansys HFSS, CST, and ADS.
• Strong knowledge of RF hardware principles, low-noise design, and complex RF test planning.
• A minimum 2.1 BEng/BSc degree in systems engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field, plus strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Analogue design experience.
• PCB design experience from VHF to X-band.
• Familiarity with the RF vendor supply chain.
• Experience in team or project management.
• A pragmatic approach to technical decisions and design choices.
