Senior RF Engineer (Radar)

What you will do

• Lead antenna and RF equipment development through internal or subcontracted work packages.
• Maintain antenna and RF designs for product improvements and obsolescence management.
• Derive, review, verify, and validate RF requirements and specifications.
• Provide RF and antenna design support to Supply Chain, Quality, suppliers, customers, manufacturing, and other business areas.
• Support RF module production testing, manufacture, technical issue resolution, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Estimate, plan, manage, and document small work packages while maintaining engineering and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Experience with microwave-frequency PCB design, including schematic manipulation and defining or reviewing PCB layouts.
• Knowledge of RF component selection and the use of high-power RF amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, limiters, circulators, filters, mixers, and phase-locked loops.
• Knowledge of RF system design, including cascade analysis.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers and vector network analysers.
• Knowledge of antenna theory, design, and testing, including array, slotted-array, and printed antennas.
• Experience with design for test, design for manufacture, and production environments, including processes such as SMT.
• Self-motivated approach and ability to work within a team.
• Good written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Altium PCB Design Software and Altair RF and antenna design software.
• Working knowledge of radar or closely related applications such as communications.
• Knowledge of digital electronics or power supply design.
• Experience with requirements management or systems engineering.
• Test automation using MATLAB or Python.
• Knowledge of EMC and regulatory compliance requirements, including FCC, ITU, or ETSI requirements.
