Plating Engineer

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and optimize plating processes in the conductive fabric workshop.
• Prepare and update process documentation, including flow charts, PFMEA documents, and SOPs.
• Investigate product quality and production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate product routing, production capacity, tooling, and fixtures during new-product quotation and introduction.
• Validate process capability for new products and materials, conduct risk assessments, and track implementation plans.
• Audit production processes for compliance with ISO/IATF 16949 standards and provide technical support.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant process engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Materials, or a related field.
• Strong experience with electroplating and reel-to-reel plating, particularly for non-metallic materials such as fabrics and films.
• Knowledge of electroless copper, nickel, and tin plating; electrolytic copper, nickel, and tin plating; vacuum plating; metal plating; and rack plating.
• Proficiency with CAD for product, mold, and fixture design, plus Microsoft Office applications.
• Good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are required. CET-4 or above is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pro/ENGINEER (Pro/E).
• Experience managing electroplating-related projects.
• Experience leading teams in resolving unexpected production issues.
