Manufacturing Engineer (Optical Subassembly)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvements and new product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
• Apply Design for Excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Define time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions during assembly and system testing, perform PFMEA, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving.
• Background in display and lamination.
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and use required personal protective equipment and hand or power tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
