Avionics Test Technician

What you will do

• Build, assemble, modify, and inspect electrical harnesses, test racks, specialized hardware assemblies, fixtures, and avionics test equipment.
• Install, configure, and verify instrumentation including thermocouples, accelerometers, load cells, and DAQ systems.
• Configure and operate thermal, humidity, HALT, and electrodynamic vibration test equipment.
• Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, electronic loads, power supplies, and related laboratory equipment.
• Execute approved test procedures, monitor tests, collect and review data, and document results.
• Troubleshoot test setups, instrumentation, wiring, and laboratory equipment while maintaining safe and organized test areas.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with electrical and electromechanical assembly, test racks, laboratory hardware, and cable or harness fabrication.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Experience operating environmental test equipment and installing or verifying test instrumentation and DAQ systems.
• Experience configuring laboratory measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, electronic loads, and power supplies.
• Ability to execute test programs accurately, document anomalies clearly, perform basic troubleshooting, and work effectively with engineering teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and may need authorization to receive EAR- or ITAR-controlled technology without export-license sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with avionics, aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or other high-reliability electronic systems.
• Experience building or maintaining automated test equipment and instrumentation racks.
• Experience with custom DAQ systems such as gDAQ, mDAQ, or similar hardware.
• Familiarity with environmental qualification, reliability, acceptance testing, and aerospace or defense environmental test standards.
