Avionics Engineering Technician (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Mojave, California, United States. Travel is expected as needed and estimated at less than 5%.

Salary: $32.00–$63.75 per hour, depending on level and experience.

hirify.global develops reusable Talon hypersonic test vehicles and provides flight data to validate aerospace system performance and accelerate technology deployment.

What you will do

• Support flight operations by troubleshooting electrical and avionics ground-test issues as an engineering liaison.
• Design, manufacture, and operate electrical ground-support equipment.
• Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for installing or modifying electrical and avionics subsystems.
• Provide real-time engineering support on the shop floor and resolve documentation issues.
• Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems and communicate technical status to the lead.
• Travel as needed to support department activities.

Requirements

• Experience in electrical engineering, avionics, experimental aircraft, or launch-vehicle integration.
• Experience integrating aircraft or launch-vehicle electrical power systems.
• Hands-on experience installing aircraft electrical systems and creating shop work instructions, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Experience with Siemens Capital Logic/Harness or an equivalent wiring-diagram tool, laboratory equipment, 3D CAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges to varied audiences, work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Aerospace development and systems-integration experience.

Nice to have

• Environmental testing experience.
• Security clearance.
• Siemens Capital/Mentor Graphics, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Curtiss-Wright IADS, LabVIEW, or Jira experience.
