Avionics Test Technician (Aerospace)

Compensation: $30.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform electrical, thermal, functional, and verification testing of spacecraft avionics hardware and board-level subassemblies.
• Operate multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, test fixtures, harnesses, sensors, and other instrumentation.
• Execute controlled test procedures and plans while maintaining configuration and revision control.
• Identify, document, and escalate anomalies, failures, and out-of-family behavior.
• Review test data and maintain accurate logs, configuration records, and test reports.
• Support hardware debug, re-testing, and the development and validation of test procedures with engineering.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Redondo Beach, United States.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain the required U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Proficiency in electrostatic discharge safety protocols.
• 2–5 years of hands-on electrical and thermal testing experience at the board or subassembly level.
• Experience following written procedures, work instructions, and test plans in a controlled environment.
• Knowledge of electrical test equipment, instrumentation, sensors, and foundational electrical principles, combined with strong attention to detail and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Nice to have

• 3+ years testing aerospace or spaceflight avionics hardware in a high-reliability environment.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
• Experience with failure analysis, root-cause investigation, prototype testing, or early-stage development programs.
• Startup or fast-paced engineering environment experience.
