AIT Technician III (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform assembly, integration, and testing of satellite and spacecraft development projects.
• Assemble structures through component installation, mechanical fastening, bonding, precision alignment, and measurement.
• Integrate avionics, electronic components, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
• Conduct system-level functional tests covering electrical continuity, power distribution, communications, and sensors.
• Participate in thermal vacuum, vibration, and shock testing, and troubleshoot technical issues with engineers and technicians.
• Maintain procedures, work instructions, quality records, test results, and anomaly documentation while improving assembly processes.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
• 5+ years of experience in satellite or spacecraft assembly and integration, including aerospace structures, avionics integration, and harnessing.
• Proficiency in precision assembly, mechanical fastening, bonding, alignment, and use of measurement tools.
• Strong understanding of aerospace electrical systems, avionics, and wiring harnesses, with experience in functional testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with thermal vacuum, vibration, and shock testing, aerospace manufacturing quality processes, and technical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate technical information, interpret engineering drawings, and follow safety protocols.
