Associate Manager - Private Equity Fund Accounting

Location: Hybrid in New York City, Boston, MA, or Union, NJ

What you will do

• Manage private equity fund relationships and oversee alternative investment fund accounting activities.
• Review quarterly financial statements, investment data, partner capital allocations, fund NAV calculations, and accrual bookings.
• Prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, subledgers, and trial balances under IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients and coordinate with auditors, law firms, and tax advisors.
• Support client onboarding, entity setup, process improvement, and reconciliation of business and client metrics.
• Coordinate deliverables, monitor quality and timing against operating memoranda and SLAs, and provide technical training to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 6+ years of accounting experience focused on alternative investment funds.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting, especially investment partnerships.
• Experience with consolidated financial statements and minority interest.
• Strong time management, multitasking, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.

• CPA designation or MBA.
