Senior Global Supply Manager (Critical Minerals)

Location: On-site in Long Beach, California, United States; domestic and international travel to mines, refiners, and processors may reach 50%.

Base salary: $110,000–$160,000 USD annually, plus company stock and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end commodity strategy for germanium, including resilience planning and geopolitical risk mitigation.
• Develop market intelligence on pricing, disruptions, industry trends, and geopolitical signals, and brief executives on mitigation plans.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes across miners, refiners, processors, and component suppliers.
• Negotiate offtake, pricing, capacity reservation, payment, and other strategic agreements while maintaining should-cost and total-cost models.
• Evaluate stockpiling, prepayments, joint ventures, equity investments, and vertical integration with Corporate Development and Finance.
• Build supplier, industry association, and government relationships and improve supplier performance through metrics, scorecards, and reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or commodity management experience, including direct exposure to critical minerals or downstream products.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience with 9+ years of total work experience.
• Experience managing concentrated, geopolitically sensitive supply chains.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Eligibility for U.S. space technology export-control requirements is required for U.S. office roles.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in materials science, chemical sciences, or metallurgical or mining engineering; an MBA is also valued.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or other manufacturing industries with significant raw-material dependencies.
• Experience with U.S. government critical-mineral programs, non-traditional commercial arrangements, or commodity roadmaps.
• APICS certification and experience with AS9100 or export controls.
