Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite role with up to 20% travel

What you will do

• Support end-to-end sourcing for assigned commodities, from demand identification through supplier selection and purchase order placement.
• Research markets, identify and assess suppliers, and support RFQ and RFP execution.
• Evaluate suppliers using engineering drawings, CAD models, technical specifications, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead source selection, negotiations, contracting strategies, and supply-base development.
• Maintain sourcing documentation, supplier records, bid analyses, purchase orders, and work orders in ERP systems.
• Coordinate with planning, program, engineering, quality, manufacturing, finance, legal, and contracts teams to improve supplier quality, cost, delivery, and schedule performance.

Requirements

• Level I: 0–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related role; internships and co-ops are accepted.
• Level II: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, plus 2–4+ years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes, including RFQs, purchase-order lifecycles, supplier communication, and lead times.
• Experience supporting supplier selection, RFQ/RFP cycles, negotiations, and purchase order placement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with tight-tolerance, low-volume/high-mix, prototype, development, or production hardware.
• Manufacturing or aerospace supply-chain experience.
• Experience with RFPs, RFQs, purchase orders, work orders, and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Experience analyzing quotes, comparing costs and prices, and working with bills of materials.
• Incoterms familiarity.
