Staff / Sr Staff / Principal Engineer - Lakehouse (Apache Spark): Building reliable, high-throughput data services and large-scale backend systems for a cybersecurity posture automation platform with an accent on data architecture, scalability, and performance. Focus on designing lakehouse technologies, optimizing distributed applications, and solving complex production issues across Spark, Flink, Cassandra, Kafka, and cloud platforms.
Location: Hybrid in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, or Gurgaon, India

What you will do
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, data engineers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy high-scale systems using modern distributed-data technologies.
- Build reliable, consistent, and high-throughput data services and interfaces.
- Optimize and tune applications for performance, scalability, and production reliability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to system-wide engineering standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend software development experience with large-scale applications and data.
- Experience defining and improving application design and architecture.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Cassandra.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Spark, Kafka, Trino, and Scala.
- Technical ownership of large-scale data systems or experience building large systems from scratch.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Open-source contributions related to large-scale systems.
