Backend Engineer - Search

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for enterprise search applications.
• Implement ingestion from databases, file systems, APIs, and other data sources.
• Build data transformation, enrichment, indexing, and update processes.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Implement security measures for sensitive data during processing and storage.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers and document pipeline architecture and best practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong experience with data pipeline frameworks and tools such as Apache Airflow or Apache NiFi.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Understanding of enterprise search, including crawling, indexing, and query processing.
• Knowledge of data security, access control, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
