Senior Backend Software Engineer (AI Data Platform)

What you will do

• Design and build scalable, high-performance distributed backend services for the platform control plane.
• Develop versioned REST and gRPC APIs for centralized storage and compute management, automation, integrations, and policy-driven workflows.
• Implement microservices for provisioning, scaling, upgrades, configuration, and full lifecycle management across hybrid environments.
• Support RBAC, multi-tenancy, authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, and enterprise self-service capabilities.
• Build observability and supportability capabilities using logs, metrics, traces, events, alerting, diagnostics, incident correlation, and root cause analysis.
• Design for fault tolerance, graceful degradation, disaster recovery, seamless rollbacks, and minimal or zero downtime; contribute through code and design reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in backend or distributed systems engineering.
• Strong experience designing and building microservices-based architectures and large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Go, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience designing and implementing REST and/or gRPC APIs, including API versioning, backward compatibility, deprecation, and governance.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, containerized environments, Kubernetes, security principles, object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and modern software engineering practices.
