What you will do

• Integrate quantum subroutines into classical optimization methods, including heuristics, linear programming, relaxations, approximation algorithms, and hybrid workflows.
• Design, implement, optimize, simulate, and benchmark quantum algorithms against classical counterparts.
• Develop scalable software libraries and integrate them into broader applications.
• Design and execute experiments on realistic constraints and real QPUs to validate, debug, and refine algorithms.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and research teams to ensure algorithm compatibility and practical impact.
• Publish research, present findings, contribute to customer consulting and proof-of-concept projects, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in theoretical physics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 2–3 publications in quantum algorithm research.
• Strong knowledge of quantum computing, quantum information, classical computer science, algorithm design, and complexity theory.
• Deep expertise in classical optimization methods and hybrid quantum-classical approaches.
• Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or QDK.
• Strong analytical, mathematical modeling, scientific writing, technical documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
