What you will do

• Match classical problems to relevant quantum algorithms.
• Perform logical resource estimation and use the results to inform hardware requirements.
• Develop an assessment of the requirements for achieving quantum advantage.
• Adapt quantum algorithms for near-term quantum hardware.
• Design experiments for benchmarking and error characterisation of near-term hardware.

Requirements

• Experience developing and modifying quantum algorithms.
• Experience matching classical problems to known quantum algorithms.
• Working knowledge of benchmarking procedures, simulation, and modelling for experiments.
• PhD or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of degree-inclusive experience in quantum algorithm development and research.
• Strong written and oral communication, published research results, organizational skills, and experience working and negotiating with customers and partners.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of quantum error correction.
• Experience with Qiskit or Stim.
• Proficiency in Python.
