Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid work required

hirify.global develops computer vision and machine learning technology that uses existing security cameras to detect hazards and high-risk activities, improve safety, and increase operational efficiency.

What you will do

• Develop and productionize computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, pose estimation, activity recognition, and anomaly detection.
• Optimize computer vision systems for high-throughput, low-latency execution on edge devices.
• Streamline machine learning data ingestion, retraining, and model redeployment workflows.
• Build and maintain reliable, scalable pipelines for continuous training and production deployment of machine learning models.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Field Engineering to design machine learning solutions for customer deployment contexts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or C++.
• Ability to solve complex, open-ended problems and work across the software stack.
• Familiarity with Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Experience with computer vision, Docker, Bazel, AWS, or Kubernetes is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Coursework or research in computer vision or machine learning.
• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, S3, or ECS.
• Experience designing highly available distributed systems with Kubernetes.
• Experience with monocular cameras, pose estimation, tracking, state estimation, object detection, or segmentation.
