General Counsel (Healthcare AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; strong preference for candidates on the East Coast. A New York City office is available, with local employees commonly attending on Wednesdays.

Salary: $325,000–$375,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as chief legal advisor and strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
• Develop the company-wide legal strategy and advise teams across Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, People, Security, and Clinical.
• Lead, coach, and develop a legal team consisting of an Associate General Counsel and Commercial Counsel.
• Negotiate and oversee complex commercial agreements, strategic partnerships, vendor relationships, customer contracts, and healthcare agreements.
• Lead corporate governance, entity management, risk mitigation, litigation, investigations, employment matters, and outside counsel relationships.
• Support regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, financings, and other significant transactions.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar.
• 12+ years of legal experience, including experience at a leading law firm and in-house within healthcare, healthcare technology, SaaS, AI, or another highly regulated technology business.
• Experience leading and developing legal teams while remaining actively engaged in legal execution.
• Demonstrated ability to advise executive leadership on complex legal and business matters.
• Strong commercial contracting, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and strategic transaction experience.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, relationship-building, business judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
