Privacy Lawyer (AI Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid; employees must work from the San Francisco or New York office 3 days per week

Salary: $220,000–$300,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Build and scale hirify.global’s global privacy program with practical, product-focused guidance.
• Advise Security, Product, and Engineering teams on AI, machine learning, clinical data, product development, secondary data use, and sensitive information.
• Support data-sharing and ecosystem matters involving vendors, partners, internal platform services, and contractual governance.
• Monitor changes in privacy laws and AI regulations and translate them into operational guidance.
• Draft and operationalize privacy policies, playbooks, templates, governance standards, and training materials.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on the privacy and data-protection impact of new product developments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience across in-house, health-tech, or technology-focused law firm roles.
• Experience building, advising on, and evaluating compliance programs for products and services.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare privacy requirements, CCPA/CPRA, biometric privacy laws, and U.S. state privacy and data-security frameworks.
• Practical, risk-based judgment and the ability to balance legal, regulatory, business, and customer considerations.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, organization, and independent working skills.
• Juris Doctor degree and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar required.

Nice to have

• Prior healthcare or health-tech experience.
• Knowledge of the intersection between privacy regulations and artificial intelligence.
• IAPP CIPP certification.
