Regulatory Counsel (Digital Health)

Location: US Remote; role is intended for US-based candidates

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 per year, plus potential equity compensation

What you will do

• Provide legal advice on healthcare laws, regulations, and care delivery through telehealth.
• Support care operations, medical affairs, EMR product engineering, customer experience, and growth and product counsel teams.
• Advise on regulatory considerations for new product launches and identify issues involving privacy, product, employment, litigation, and pharmacy matters.
• Support public policy and legislative efforts by reviewing proposed healthcare laws, rules, and regulations.
• Monitor relevant state and federal telehealth laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• At least 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney, including healthcare regulatory experience.
• Extensive experience with healthcare laws and regulations, especially telehealth compliance, operations, and digital health.
• Knowledge of telehealth technologies, corporate practice of medicine, state professional practice standards, credentialing, provider compensation, and regulatory complaints.
• Strong solution-focused legal advice, adaptability, time management, and project prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience interacting with legislators, trade associations, Boards of Medicine, Boards of Nursing, or other licensing and regulatory authorities.
